1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Digital.Finance (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and listing owners.

2. Description of Service

Digital.Finance is a curated directory of fintech, banking, crypto, investing, and other finance-adjacent websites and services. The Service includes the public directory, financial calculators, educational guides and articles, and tools for businesses to submit and manage their own listings.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate and current, and that you are authorised to represent any business you list.

You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials secure. Activity carried out through your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Listings and User-Submitted Content

When you submit a listing, review, comment, or other content to the Service, you grant Digital.Finance a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, modify, and promote that content as part of operating the Service. You retain ownership of the underlying content.

You represent that the content you submit is accurate, that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

All listings are subject to manual review and may be approved, rejected, edited, or removed at our sole discretion, including but not limited to the reasons set out in our Submission Guidelines and the "Right to Remove" section there.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit listings for sites unrelated to finance, technology, or otherwise outside the categories described in our Submission Guidelines.
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or ownership of a listed business.
• Submit duplicate listings or spam the directory with low-quality entries.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or obscene.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk without our prior written permission. Reasonable indexing by search engines is permitted.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our backend systems.
• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate access for any user we reasonably believe is violating these rules.

6. Paid Services

Certain features — including Category Featured and Homepage Featured listing tiers — are paid services. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

One-time payments, 12 months of placement. Paid tiers are sold as a single one-time charge that grants the associated placement and benefits for 12 months from the date of purchase. There are no recurring charges and no automatic renewals. After 12 months, your listing reverts to the free Basic tier unless you actively choose to renew. Approximately 30 days before the period ends, we may send a reminder email with a one-click renewal option.

Refunds. You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, by contacting us. After 30 days, the listing keeps running for the full 12 months as paid and refunds are not provided unless required by law.

If a paid listing is removed for violating our guidelines, no refund is owed for unused placement time. If a paid listing is removed for circumstances outside the listing owner's control (for example, an incorrect flag), you may appeal by contacting us and we may issue a pro-rated refund or restoration at our discretion.

Renewal pricing. Prices may change. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time of purchase; we do not retroactively change the price for an active 12-month period. New purchases (including renewals) are subject to the then-current pricing.

7. Listing Ownership and Verification

A listing in the directory may exist as unclaimed (no verified owner) or claimed (linked to a verified owner's account). Anyone with appropriate proof of ownership may claim an unclaimed listing.

We accept two proofs of ownership, both free: (a) signing up with a verified email address at the listing's domain, or (b) completing a technical domain-control check we provide from your dashboard.

The Verified Owner badge is displayed on any listing whose ownership has been proven by one of these methods. The badge is available to free and paid listings alike — verification is independent of payment.

You represent that any ownership claim you make accurately reflects your authority to act on behalf of the listed business. We may suspend or revoke ownership of any listing that we reasonably believe was claimed fraudulently.

8. Embeddable Calculators

We offer free embeddable versions of our financial calculators for use on third-party websites. By embedding a calculator, you agree that you will not remove the "Powered by Digital.Finance" attribution and accompanying link, you will not misrepresent the calculator as your own product, and you accept that we may modify or discontinue any embeddable calculator at any time. The calculators provide informational estimates only and do not constitute financial advice (see Section 11).

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, written content, logos, and editorial selections, is owned by Digital.Finance and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by fair-use principles.

Trademarks and brand names belonging to third parties (including listed businesses) remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance in the directory does not constitute endorsement or affiliation.

10. Third-Party Sites and Services

The directory contains links to external websites operated by third parties. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party site, its content, products, or services. Visiting an external site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms and privacy practices.

11. No Financial Advice

Digital.Finance is an informational directory and toolset. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Calculator outputs, educational articles, and listing descriptions are provided for general information only and may not be accurate, complete, or current.

Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. Past performance, projected returns, and modelled outputs are not guarantees of future results.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital.Finance and its operators, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Digital.Finance and its operators from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

15. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or for any other reason consistent with operating a curated directory.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Digital.Finance is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
